South

Many different thoughts come into mind when I think of the word ‘south.’ Firstly, I think of a compass with the little arrow pointing towards the south. After that, I think of the southern part of the United States. My third thought is the one that I’m deciding to write more about and go in depth on; the meaning of south the refers to something in your life, such as your feelings or a relationship, going south, or basically, going downhill.

When people say that their day is going south, they often mean that their day is going bad and downhill. Nothing may be going right and they may feel sad and worthless. That is not the truth; even if you’re feeling worthless, you’re not. Everyone is here for a reason and a purpose. You just have to believe and not give up.

In reality, even if your day, or possibly even life, is going south, you have time to bring it back the opposite direction. People always say that nothing is permanent which is true. Included in that ‘nothing’ is your feelings. Even if you’re having a bad day, your sadness and bad feelings aren’t permanent and they’re get better soon. Everything will be okay, you just have to have hope.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!
